First Looks at Baby

We had a baby! And it DID turn out to be a girl!

She is splotchy, scraped, bruised, and brand new beautiful. She is handling her new world with a lot of sleep and easily calms down right now.

Lots of hair...

Long thin fingers...

Long feet.

Here she is still in me. I didn't have any full term pictures, so we snapped one in the hospital parking lot on the way in- you've got to have at least one! It was my easiest labor and delivery. I started consistent contractions the night before, tried to sleep for most of the night and take it easy, had a good family breakfast, dropped the kids off at Lisa's, did some power walks around the hospital with Michael to keep the contractions progressing, and checked in. It was my first epidural experience- which was awesome. Apparently she came out fast enough to be bruised on her face, poor baby. She was 8 pounds 8 ounces at birth, just beating out both boys but over a pound less then her sister. Whalla, wish us luck! (I don't have a name yet).
